Overview

In September of 2021 I started working at a wonderful restaurant just off of Main Street and 11th called Dock Lunch. This place is a true hidden gem with delicious homestyle cooking, a menu that changes every day, and a charming living room atmosphere. I also had the opportunity to design a website for them.

Project Goal

The goal for this project was to capture the atmosphere of Dock Lunch and provide a website where customers could book reservations, view the hours of operation, browse the photo gallery, and learn a little bit about the story of this unique place. Elizabeth, the owner, wanted a clean, simple, and easy-to-use design. She also provided me with a sketch that one of her customers drew of the exterior, which she wanted to use on the home page.

Lo-Fi Sketches

With all of these requirements noted down, I started to work on some lo-fi sketches. Because of how clear the vision was, it did not take long for me to come up with some layouts that I thought would work perfectly.

Hi-Fi Mockups

After sketching a few different ideas for layouts, I started to create the high fidelity mockups in Figma. Once I had all of the pages mocked up, I started to work in Webflow. When working in Webflow, I always make sure that my pages are organized, structured, and consistently named.
